Increases To The Department of Home Affairs’ Visa Application Charges

From July 1, there will be an increase in the Visa Application Charges (VACs) across multiple visa categories by the forecast CPI of 1.75% rounded to the nearest $5.00.

Business Innovation and Investment Program (BIIP) VACs will increase by ~11% as well as the 1.75% previous announced. The visas subclasses subject to these increases are:

  • Subclass 188 Business Innovation Stream
  • Subclass 188 Investor Stream
  • Subclass 188 Significant Investor Stream
  • Subclass 188 Business Innovation Extension Stream
  • Subclass 188 Significant Investor Extension stream
  • Subclass 888 (all streams).

As per the Department of Home Affairs website, the following visa subclasses are subject to the price increase of 1.75% from July 1, 2021:
