Introducing Grant Kynaston the winner of the 2021 PLAYFAIR Prize in Migration Law

Congratulations to Grant Kynaston the 2021 winner of the PLAYFAIR Prize in Migration Law.

Even before attending the prestigious University of Sydney Law School, Grant had been recognised as a high achiever. His love of humanities and languages saw him top the state in four subjects as part of his Higher School Certificate exams, an incredibly impressive feat that has only been achieve by a handful of students in the last decade.

In addition to his Bachelor of Law, Grant completed a Diploma of Languages Studies in Arabic and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Classics during his time at University of Sydney, as well as receiving the prestigious University Medal.

His passion for Classical Studies and his exemplary results saw Grant receive the prestigious Gates Cambridge Scholarship from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which he has used to take up a Master of Philosophy at Cambridge University. Unfortunately, this meant Grant was unable to attend this year’s Prize Giving Ceremony and receive the PLAYFAIR award in-person.

We wish Grant all the best in his future studies at Cambridge.
