Born in Papua New Guinea, Watna is the advisor for PLAYFAIR in matters relating to Papua New Guinea law. She regularly travels to Manus Island, Papua New Guinea where she serves as a Claims Assistant Provider at the Regional Processing Centre.
Watna spent her formative years growing up in Perth and completed a Bachelor of Law and Arts at Murdoch University. With an appetite for adventure and a desire to travel, she moved to the Netherlands to complete her Masters in Public International Law at Universiteit Van Amsterdam.
Prior to working at PLAYFAIR, Watna returned to PNG and began lecturing in Law at The University of Papua New Guinea and then worked at the PNG Constitutional and Law Reform Commission performing research on specific areas of law review and drafting reports and advice for Government entities.
Watna’s work ethic and her dogmatic approach to getting the best results for her clients, are characteristics which see her widely respected by her colleagues and clients.
