Eileen is a solicitor working in one of the most complex areas of our Humanitarian Migration Department, providing support to a cache of “non- statutory” clients, who arrived in Australia prior to refugee law being enshrined in legislation.
Eileen coordinates AAT hearings, manages clients entitled to International Treaty Obligation Assessments, and clients whose cases have been remitted back to the Department of Immigration. Eileen has been deployed on taskforces within NSW and interstate, providing administrative assistance in the preparation of TPV and SHEV applications for PAIS clients under the supervision of Registered Migration Agents.
Eileen completed a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in accounting, at the University of Sydney. She is bilingual, speaking fluent Korean and English. Eileen migrated to Australia at the age of 14, and understands the difficulties that new migrants face, especially when underage and unaccompanied.
